George A. Romero’s MARTIN Benefit Screening

Horror Realm Con has teamed up with Scares That Care to bring George A. Romero’s MARTIN to the big screen for a silent auction benefit show in Pittsburgh, PA on Jun 22, 2013.

According to the official Scares That Care website:

“Scares That Care!” is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides money, toys and other items to help sick children. We have two other programs consisting of “Scares For Pairs,” where we help women fighting breast cancer…”

John Amplas, the title character, will be in attendance and more actors are reportedly in the works for appearance. $25 gets you a movie ticket and a  limited edition poster which will be autographed at no charge. $10 gets you admission to the event. The itinerary is as follows:

  • 6:00 PM – the doors open
  • 6:30 PM – John Amplas and other Martin guests available for autographs. John will be charging for his autograph but is donating everything to Scares that Care.
  • 7:45 PM – Silent auction winners and 50/50 raffle winner announced.
  • 8:00 PM – “Martin” begins
  • 9:40 PM – Q&A with John and other guests
